Halle Heart Center Educational Demonstration Kitchen

A culinary nutrition demo focused on taste literacy awareness combined with culinary and food science applications to culinary techniques to balance food tastes and enhance flavors of nutrition-rich foods, particularly plant-based meals.

We will explore:

  • Applying key foundation cooking techniques to improve flavors & textures in vegetables
  • Simple but potent ingredients to make bland foods more desirable
  • Identify what options easily improve flavors and balance taste qualities with a focus on plant-based foods
  • Taste a variety of example
